November 28, 2002 -- SPECIAL THANKSGIVING EDITION

In no particular order…

I am thankful for my wife -- sufficient superlatives do not exist either in quantity or quality.

I am thankful that God has supplied my material needs to a greater extent and for more years than I have a right to expect or even ask.

I am thankful for a community of believers in Jesus Christ, even if that community and the church are not identical sets.

I am thankful for my extended family, for the support, education, and safety net they have given me.

I am thankful that George W. Bush is President of the United States at this time in history.

I am thankful that the creation is hardier and far more resilient than the average environmentalist can comprehend.

I am thankful that God can look at a sinner like me and see one of His children.

I am thankful for diet Peach and diet Raspberry Snapple Iced Tea.

I am thankful for the cats of my household.

I am thankful for my clients, even the ones that don’t pay.

I am thankful for friends, Ken, Eric and Kelly.

I am thankful for travel and all the marvelous things I have seen.

Speaking of which, I am thankful that after I left Chernobyl, nothing glowed.

I am thankful for our home -- who knew it could look this good?

I am thankful for bacon and sausage, and probably someday Lipitor.

I am thankful for the U.S. Military and the great job they have done recently.

I am thankful I can read.

I am thankful for humor.

I am thankful for computers, they make me more productive than I previously could have dreamed of, and they are immensely entertaining.

I am thankful for chemistry - no really, I love it.

I am thankful for movies.

I am thankful for music -- especially jazz.

I am thankful for basketball, particularly when played by Butler, Texas Tech, and Indiana (most of the time)

I am thankful for friends to spend Thanksgiving with.

I am thankful for comic books.
